4th Battalion, The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment

4 PWRR is ‘paired’ with both of our regular sister battalions, 1 and 2 PWRR. This gives us an unrivalled opportunity to operate with the light mechanised infantry and armoured infantry roles as part of the Army 2020 concept. We are the cutting edge Army Reserve unit with unrivalled operational opportunities, we have the very latest kit across the Battalion, including support weapons systems.

Officers and Soldiers of the Battalion take time away from their normal civilian employment, to train every Wednesday evening and one to two weekends each month. There is also a two week training period conducted annually and can take place either in the United Kingdom or abroad.

Life in 4 PWRR is not all about training and operations, as with all army units there is a strong sense of family and a keen social life. There are great opportunities for sport and adventurous training too.
